Studio Bartholomeus takes on a limited number of commissions each year, from a single piece to a fully integrated system.
From furniture to system.
Integrated systems
Wall systems, built-in cabinets, garage doors and workstation set-ups where the technical side is carried from the first sketch: ventilation, cable routing, access for maintenance, and where wanted switches, sensors and home automation. Designed in Rhino and Grasshopper, cut on CNC, finished by hand. This is where the studio stands apart most clearly. A cabinet is storage, but also airflow, cabling, maintenance and the daily handling of the person using it. Solving those four at once is design work, not cabinetmaking.

Parametric design
Generated designs via Rhino/Grasshopper. From sketch to CNC-ready files.
Outdoor furniture

From conversation to object.
Introduction
A short conversation about the project, space, budget and timing. This can be via email or a video call.
Concept & proposal
Based on our conversation I develop an initial concept (sketch, moodboard or 3D model), with an indicative price.
Refinement
Together we refine the design until it works. Materials, dimensions and details are finalised.
Production
After approval, production begins. You will receive updates throughout the process.
Delivery
The piece is delivered and installed. Including care and maintenance instructions.
What a commission costs.
Every commission is designed and built from start to finish in my own workshop. That means drawing, choosing material, trial pieces and hand work on the details a machine cannot reach. The studio therefore takes on a limited number of projects each year.
Prices depend on material, complexity and lead time. An indicative quote follows the first conversation. All amounts exclude VAT.
